World War II Historical Fiction Author Peter Moscovita Soon to Display First Novel at the L.A. Times Festival of Books 2024

For years, Peter A. Moscovita traveled all over Europe, pursuing his passion for engineering, aerospace, and history. Throughout that time, his imagination filled with inspiration for a number of stories set in his favorite time periods. Now retired, he’s decided to put those ideas to paper and set on the path of authorship. His first book, “The Following Storm,” set off a well-received series, and he’s excited to be showcasing it at the upcoming L.A. Times Festival of Books.

Peter A. Moscovita is a man who loves to travel. When he was young, his family took him to many places around Europe. In later years, his love for travel would combine with a passion for engineering, aerospace, and history.

So, in recent years, he has decided to bring others on a similar journey by publishing stories inspired by his passions. The first among these was a novel titled “The Following Storm.” Set in the three years leading up to WWII, this first novel would kick off a four-part series that was well-received by his readers. This first book is also set for display at the upcoming Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2024.

The novel follows an Austrian maritime officer named Karl Vita, who senses the clouds of WWII gathering at a pace he cannot bear to see. Abandoning his ship, he desperately makes arrangements to get his mother, sister, and nephew out of Europe before the crisis could do its worst.

The plot details his many perilous adventures as the crumbling Peace of Versailles crashed all around him and his family. Leaving Vienna Austria, they make the dangerous drive across Europe to Belgium in a bid to seek eventual asylum in England.

Still, Karl’s story doesn’t end there. British Intelligence officers are impressed by his cross-country maneuvering and seek to enlist his skills. The rest of the novels will go on to detail more of his escapades, along with his budding romance with a fellow intelligence officer as they work to bring down Nazi Germany.

Since finishing the series, Moscovita has gained quite a following among fans of WWII-era adventures and romances. That’s why he remains ever excited to have “The Following Storm” exhibited at events such as the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2024.

Peter A. Moscovita grew up in England and had a love for exploring different countries, sparked by exciting family trips across Europe.
