Solvay and Aquatic Concept Group AS signed a joint global collaboration and development agreement for aquaculture operations

Solvay, a leading global supplier of Peroxides, and Aquatic Concept Group (ACG) have signed a global joint agreement to work together in pursuit of sustainable growth in their worldwide aquaculture operations. 

Following several years of tight collaboration in the distribution of peroxide products on different local markets, Solvay and ACG decided to strengthen their relationship and to extend it globally.

The agreement covers three areas: safety, market development and business strategy. In each of these areas Solvay and ACG commit to work together for a constant improvement as well as the development of new innovative concepts, including a technology platform for the Aquaculture industry.

“ACG is not only our commercial arm in the aquaculture industry” said Georges Crauser, President of Solvay Peroxides Global Business Unit, “they are a true technology partner for us. We are excited about working more closely with ACG on a global basis, in particular to manage joint R&D and development of environmentally friendly pathogen treatment concepts for the aquaculture market.”  

“This relationship”, - added Elvin Bugge, CEO of ACG - “goes beyond aquaculture and into management of food safety and biosecurity in the global processing sector. Solvay and ACG are both situated in key sites around the world, starting in the salmon market but increasingly supplying innovative and sustainable treatment solutions around peroxygens to manage parasites and pathogens for other species as well.”

The agreement takes effect from today.
