Citrix Strengthens Alliances Team with Former Cisco and Sun Execs

Simon Hayes and Joe Keller Bring Proven Track Records and Market Expertise to Meet Growing Demand in Cloud, Networking and Virtualization

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Citrix Systems today announced that Simon Hayes and Joe Keller have joined the company as Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Vice President of Alliance and Community Marketing, respectively. Hayes will be responsible for global business development and technology partnerships that align with the Citrix strategy for cloud computing, networking and virtualization. Keller will oversee the team responsible for driving marketing leverage across Citrix global strategic alliance partners, and oversee the rapidly-growing community of technology and IT professionals around the world who interact with Citrix products every day.

More About Simon Hayes
Hayes comes to Citrix from Cisco, where he spent nearly 14 years leading various aspects of the company’s global partnership efforts, most recently serving as VP of the Technology Partner Organization. Hayes has a proven track record for contributing to the bottom line, joining Cisco’s alliance team when the company was generating $3B in annual revenue and helping it grow to be the $40B giant it is today. He pioneered Cisco’s unique program for solution co-development with alliance partners, as well as an innovative financial measurement model to track progress and revenue generated from partner solutions and programs. Prior to Cisco, Hayes was at HP, where he held a variety of sales and system integrator leadership roles and, as he did at Cisco, helped drive its growth from a mid-sized company to a global leader. He studied electrical engineering at King’s College, University of London, and is a graduate of Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.

More About Joe Keller
Keller spent a majority of his career at Sun Microsystems, where he helped the company grow from a startup to a $15B powerhouse. He held a number of key leadership roles at the company, including VP and GM of several software infrastructure product groups and VP of Platform and Community Marketing. Keller spent several years running Sun’s global developer network and was responsible for delivering Sun software technology to more than 150M PCs worldwide. In addition to his years at Sun, Keller has also served in executive roles at a number of Silicon Valley startups in the cloud, mobile and SaaS markets. Keller did his undergraduate studies in economics at the University of California, Davis, and received an M.B.A. from the University of Texas, Austin.

Both Hayes and Keller will leverage the Citrix Silicon Valley headquarters as their primary office.
