“We’re excited to continue expanding our travel program to take on multi-sport trips and offer elements of adventure for those that want MORE  from the average dive trip. Many divers want a relaxing eat- sleep-dive vacation with umbrella drinks and palm trees. Our travelers can experience this and so much more, with options to step outside their comfort zone and try something new on vacation."

September 3, 2015: Divers Direct team members and guests have just returned from a scuba diving and snorkeling adventure in Belize, where life-long memories and new friends were made in just one week of the adventure vacation. The multi-sport trip was such a success, Divers Direct is already working to announce plans for next year’s adventure.  More information can be found on their website about future trips.

Divers Direct and Guests Visit Belize

Travelers from all over Florida, Texas, Philadelphia, Minnesota, and DC congregated in a small exclusive resort called Ramon’s Village on Ambergris Caye, Belize recently to explore the world class diving and local culture. The adventure offered 2-tank scuba dives daily, snorkeling excursions, use of stand up paddle boards, bonefishing, and even surface interval excursions to the ancient Mayan temple ruins of Lamanai. Vacationers were also given the opportunity to sign up for extra dives, which included night dives on select evenings.

In between all this activity, guests enjoyed delicious Caribbean cuisine at the resort’s scenic beachfront restaurant which highlights a diverse menu featuring local, freshly caught fish, seafood, and fruit. At the end of the diving day, the tiki bar and pool were thriving with excited travelers exchanging stories and images of their adventures. One Divers Direct traveler reported, “Spotting two non-chummed white tips and a vast variety of rays and reef fish was really exciting and gratifying!”

Lindsey Fundine, Events and Travel Manager at Divers Direct says: “We’re excited to continue expanding our travel program to take on multi-sport trips and offer elements of adventure for those that want MORE  from the average dive trip. Many divers want a relaxing eat- sleep-dive vacation with umbrella drinks and palm trees. Our travelers can experience this and so much more, with options to step outside their comfort zone and try something new on vacation. Snorkelers and non-divers are welcome and making friends is pretty much guaranteed!”

When asked about favorite memories of the trip, traveler Rana N. had to say,  “Honestly though, the people in the group were all so amazingly nice that I would say it was the best memory.”  Interested in adventuring with Divers Direct? Check the website travel and events page for more updates.
