“General Tolbert gives us an insight into a powerful life of a dedicated American jet fighter pilot.”

For Brig. Gen. William Troy Tolbert, it is passion, integrity, hard work, and perseverance that got him to the top of the chain of command in the US Air Force, not family wealth. He recounts his story of simplicity to greatness in his memoir, From Dirt to Duty.

Gen. William Troy Tolbert was raised in a farm in Mississippi where he grew up doing various farm chores. He played football in high school and it got him in Mississippi State University. His humble beginning as a farm boy in the cotton fields of Mississippi did not stop him from becoming a fighter pilot and, later on, serving in the Vietnam War. His relentless motivation to be the best pushed him to become a commander of three Air Force fighter wings, namely, Moody Air Force Base, Hill Air Force Base, and Langley Air Force Base.

Amazon customer William H. Cox says, “General Tolbert gives us an insight into a powerful life of a dedicated American jet fighter pilot.” Follow the rest of Gen. William Troy Tolbert’s journey by purchasing a copy of his book in all major online retailers.

The book was displayed on LitFire Publishing’s booth during the 2017 Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany, which spanned from October 11 to 15.
