The author hopes to put an end to the cycle of abuse suffered by the disabled at the hands of others.

Lakeland, FL, USA – WEBWIRE

It requires faith to endure the trials of disability and adversity in life.

Devout Christian and Air Force veteran Jedediah Roper published “Stop Taking Advantage of Me” (BookBaby, 2017). The purpose of this book is to help his intended readers, the disabled, guard themselves against abuse and other forms of mistreatment by manipulative people. He hopes to empower them to stand up for themselves.

The author, who suffered from schizoaffective disorder in the 2000s, knows how it is to be afflicted and worse, be taken advantage of by other people. He also encountered other tragedies in life, which further caused him to rely on others to be responsible for him. He soon learned it was not the way to live out his life – and his faith.

The author’s response to the abuses and losses he experienced was spiritual – fitting for a veteran whose faith in Jesus Christ is as solid as a rock. In “Stop Taking Advantage of Me,” he shares his experiences coupled with biblical principles to inspire others to live out their faith and become good examples to others no matter the fear, depression, and discouragement in their lives. After all, God is bigger than any disability or adversity.

“Stop Taking Advantage of Me” is available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
