Philadelphia – WEBWIRE

Elsevier, the information analytics business specializing in science and health, and the #1 KLAS rated vendor for Clinical Decision Support - Care Planning two years in a row, will showcase its Integrated Decision Support solutions at booths #2843 at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2018 annual meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 5-9, 2018.

Representatives from Elsevier’s Clinical Solutions business will be available to discuss trends and topics in healthcare IT, such as patient engagement, clinical decision support (CDS), clinical pathways and improving clinical outcomes.

“Elsevier is proactively leading the healthcare industry by meeting challenges and initiating solutions to assist care providers and patients,” said Dr. John Danaher, President, Clinical Solutions, Elsevier. “Our acquisition in January of Pittsburgh-based Via Oncology puts proven evidence-based clinical pathways at the fingertips of oncology professionals. Via accelerates our ability to support not only the referential needs of caregivers but also the workflow needs of clinicians.

“The continued recognition of Elsevier’s Care Planning with the recognition from KLAS, again, affirms our leadership in innovative, easy-to-use, high-quality evidence-based solutions integrated into healthcare systems. We are proud of our collaborations and partnerships with our customers to advance the practice of interprofessional care teams in support of exceptional patient care,” Danaher said.

Representatives from Elsevier’s Clinical Solutions will be available to discuss how value-based care initiatives can be achieved through CDS and clinical pathways.

Visitors to the booth will also be able to speak to representatives of Via Oncology, recently announced as the choice of Intermountain’s Oncology Clinical Program.

There will be interactive demos and activities at the booth promoting how Elsevier can help providers improve clinical outcomes across the patient journey.
