The author graduated from high school as valedictorian and from college with honors. She and her husband spent 18 years as missionaries in Africa. Then she got a master’s degree in teaching English as a second language and taught school for 18 years. After retirement, they returned to Ethiopia regularly to help the growing church. Now, she is the manager of Heart for Ethiopia, an online bookstore selling donated books to help needy children attend school and ladies learn to read through rural churches in Ethiopia.
