Christopher A. Hollrah to Exhibit Book That Aims to Restore True Understanding of Republicanism at LATFOB 2024

The L.A. Times Festival of Books 2024 will showcase hundreds of newly published books by a wide variety of authors, including those from all across America’s political spectrum. Among them is Christopher A. Hollrah, a longtime political activist who has recently sought to reclaim the definition of republic with his own book “Four Pillars of Republicanism.” It’s a book that certainly challenges mainstream connotations of the word today.

“In dedication to all those who defend the system of open and democratic republics everywhere.”

Every year, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books will feature dozens of book exhibits, including no small number of authors holding various political perspectives.

That, however, is just one of the reasons why Christopher has arranged to exhibit his very unique political science book “Four Pillars of Republicanism: Essays On the Foundational Principles Of Our Republic and Its Preservation” at this year’s festival.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Hollrah has degrees in both political science and education. He is also a dedicated activist and social commentator. In his eyes, the last several years of American politics have revealed an urgent need to remind people of the core principles on which this republic was founded.

Today, he sees the word republicanism and finds it unjustly and mistakenly appropriated by groups who have no business using the word. From the dictatorships waging wars abroad to hate groups and fascists creeping into the dark ideological corners of America, “Four Pillars of Republicanism” explains how none of these are truly representative of a democratic republic’s basic principles.

This is what the essays in his book strive to spell out. Each one describes a pillar of genuine republicanism, and seeks to explain how each principle is necessary to the survival of any republic that functions on the democratic process.

Visitors to the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2024 can find “Four Pillars of Republicanism: Essays On the Foundational Principles Of Our Republic and Its Preservation” on display at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet exhibit at booth #225. The festival will be held on April 20-21, 2024, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA.

Get a copy on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Hollrah shares musings via monologues over at his YouTube channel, Artlife Enterprises.
