CHICAGO, IL — Telular Corporation (NASDAQ: WRLS) announced today that the company’s complete Wi-PATH™ SX7 series of fixed cellular solutions is now available on the nation’s most reliable wireless voice and data network. The SX7T is the most recent Telular device to complete certification through Verizon Wireless’ open development program.

A global leader in connecting businesses and machines over wireless networks, Telular’s fixed cellular terminals are ideal for a wide variety of applications including wireline replacement, portable dial tone, wireless data backup and remote data access.

“Telular’s SX7 terminals are a cost-effective and flexible wireless alternative for customers who are forgoing their traditional telephone line in favor of their cellular phones or are in remote locations,” said Anthony A. Lewis, vice president of open development at Verizon Wireless. “Through the certification of this entire product line we can now offer our customers more connectivity options, at different price points and distinct feature sets, in order to take advantage of our vast network.”

The SX7 series includes the SX7T (terminal) and the SX7M (modem), enabling high-quality voice, wireless broadband and fax services over cellular networks. With multiple standard connections, the terminals allow a variety of office equipment to leverage today’s cellular networks. The devices meet the needs of many users and markets including small businesses, government, remote offices, marine and rural customers.

“We are pleased to have the entire SX7 line of devices available on the Verizon Wireless network, solidifying our expertise in the wireless marketplace,” said Shawn Welsh, vice president of marketing and business development, Telular. “The reliability of both the Verizon Wireless network and Telular’s fixed cellular terminals allow us to offer robust capabilities and address a variety of markets with economical solutions.”

Verizon Wireless’ network-only option provides customers with the option to use wireless devices not offered directly by the nation’s leading wireless provider, such as Telular’s SX7 series of fixed cellular terminals, on the most reliable voice and data network in the country. Verizon Wireless’ open development program is driven by the company’s desire to encourage innovation, give customers new wireless choices and quickly address opportunities to expand the wireless market. The company will also continue to provide full-service offerings for consumer and business customers.
