“These directives apply to every transaction from Europe to anywhere in the world. Everyone in every country, no matter how poor, will bear the cost of red tape and bureaucracy “

The proposed EU Payment Services Directive in trying to address money laundering and provide legal clarity in money transfers will make unfair demands on the money transfer sector creating legal tangles which can only benefit lawyers.
