New Online Acupuncture Course Recently Approved by the NCCAOM

A new online acupuncture course has recently been approved by the NCCAOM for 5 PDA credits. The course covers a unique method for doing pattern identification and acupuncture treatments based on the connections that exist between the meridians.

Developed from the newly released book, ’Meridian Circuit Systems: A Channel Based Approach to Pattern Identification’, the online course offers a unique system of diagnosis and treatment that is derived from the relationships between the twelve regular meridians.

While most acupuncturists are using a zang-fu or 5-element approach to syndrome differentiation, the new course ’Meridian Circuit Systems’, offers a detailed method for incorporating channel-based approaches into the diagnostic process. This method easily integrates with the more traditional approaches, and can often assist the therapist in making a more accurate diagnosis. The system has also been shown to refine overall treatment strategies, and can also help in reducing the total number of acupuncture needles required for treatment.
