BMW International Open 2011: golf stars need flight partners. The BMW Pro-Am Challenge in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich.

Munich. It has become something of a tradition, and this year will once again see a dream come true for nine BMW Pro-Am Challenge participants. Golf fans at the BMW International Open (23rd to 26th June 2011) will not only have the opportunity to watch the stars live at the only European Tour tournament on German soil, but can also play a round with some of the biggest names in European golf. With a mixture of luck and skill, anyone can earn the right to tee off in the BMW International Open Pro-Am tournament.



Teams of three amateurs will do battle in Frankfurt, which this year hosts its first BMW Pro-Am Challenge event, Hamburg and Munich. The tournaments are played in two groups (Florida Scramble over nine holes). The best teams from each group (gross winners) will then go head-to-head in a shoot-out for the right to join a world-class pro in the Pro-Am tournament at the BMW International Open. This priceless Pro-Am experience also includes the Draw Party on the eve of the tournament and the Pro-Am Dinner and presentation ceremony after the event. Two nights accommodation in the official players’ hotel in Munich are also included in the prize.



The first event of the 2011 BMW Pro-Am Challenge series takes place in Frankfurt on Monday 16th May 2011, when golf fans can look forward to a tournament on one of the most iconic and difficult courses in the region at Golfclub Neuhof. On Wednesday 1st June 2011, Golfclub Gud Kaden in Hamburg hosts the BMW Pro-Am Challenge for the second time. The series traditionally draws to a close at Golfclub München Eichenried. On Saturday 18th June 2011, the Championship Course at the BMW International Open offers the third and final chance to win the coveted places at the Pro-Am tournament.

General entry conditions and format

Eligible: Amateurs who are 18 years or older and members of a member club affiliated to the DGV or a foreign, national association.

Handicap: 36.0 or better. The total handicap of a team must be at least 40.0 (e.g. 38.0 is not permitted).

Format: Florida Scramble over nine holes.

Entry fee: € 150 per team. Payment to be made on-site on day of tournament.

Registration: Entrants can register as a team or individually from 28th March 2011 via

www.bmw-golfsport.com. After the registration deadline, a draw will be made by the organisers to place individual entrants into teams. Here too, the handicap limits will be taken into consideration.

Draw: If more registrations than available places are received, participants will be decided by means of a draw.
