TANDBERG Demonstrates Integration with Leading Network Environments that Increases Ease of Use and Promotes Video Adoption
Alliance Partnerships, InteropNet Selection Highlight Interoperability of TANDBERG’s End-to-End Visual Communication Solution
NEW YORK and OSLO, Norway, May 02, 2006 -- TANDBERG® (OSLO: TAA.OL) will demonstrate the interoperability of its video solutions with an expanding spectrum of IP-based network environments, including Nortel, IBM, Microsoft and Cisco Systems®, at Interop booth #1261. By combining TANDBERG business-quality video with existing audio, web conferencing and IM solutions, organizations can significantly increase effective communication and raise productivity.
To illustrate, TANDBERG video is presently being integrated with Nortel MCS 5100 infrastructure by the MaRS Discovery District, a convergence innovation center located in the heart of downtown Toronto’s renowned Discovery District—a two square kilometer area designated as the city’s epicenter of innovation.
“MaRS connects, and fosters collaboration between, the communities of science, business and capital to improve commercial outcomes from Canada’s foundation of science and technology innovation" said Dr. Ilse Treurnicht, CEO of MaRS Discovery District. "Integrating TANDBERG video solutions with our existing collaboration technologies from vendors like Nortel will make it easier to ’virtualize’ the capabilities of the MaRS Collaboration Centre—and empower our stakeholder communities to collaborate on projects face-to-face.”
“TANDBERG’s growing list of alliance partners and joint customer engagements underscore our commitment to developing deep strategic relationships with other technology leaders who are pushing the adoption of unified collaboration technology,” said Fredrik Halvorsen, TANDBERG chief executive officer. “Interop attendees will experience first-hand how visual communications, working in tandem with their familiar business tools and in their existing network environments, can make them more productive.”
In addition to partner demonstrations at its booth, TANDBERG will conduct tours of InteropNet, a world-class network of hand-picked vendors providing a host of networked solutions for the Interop conference. TANDBERG was chosen as the sole visual communication provider to InteropNet based on the interoperability of its complete end-to-end video solution with leading business tools and network environments.
