Helsinki, Finland and Wellesley, Mass. - Major US Government Agency Verifies SSH Tectia in Production Environment for Secure Mainframe Access

ServerProven SSH Communications Security Corp. (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading provider of enterprise security solutions and end-to-end communications security, and the original developer of the Secure Shell protocol, today announced IBM ServerProven® certification for its SSH Tectia™ Server for IBM z/OS product. Together with the certification, IBM also granted SSH Communications Security an IBM Advanced Business Partner level in the IBM PartnerWorld® Program for ISVs.

Solutions bearing the ServerProven designation have been implemented in a real-world production environment. By considering ServerProven solutions, customers can learn about real-life installation examples that can help promote confidence in selecting ServerProven software applications to run on IBM eServer platforms.

The IBM eServer enablement of SSH Tectia was demonstrated by a major US government agency, which deployed SSH Tectia for IBM z/OS mainframes to securely exchange MVS (Multiple Virtual Storage) data sets between mainframe and Unix environments. The direct access to MVS data sets and automatic ASCII-EBCDIC translations of SSH Tectia helped the customer to minimize user training and programming needed for cross-platform file transfers, facilitating reduced total cost of ownership.
