Warm weather brings a marathon to the Space Coast and Visit Space Coast provides the best accommodations

As a matter of fact, warm weather brings a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon to the Space Coast area February 4-5, 2012 for the State Farm Melbourne & Beaches Music Marathon.

The cash and prize purse for the event is $17,200. Of that purse, $10,200 will go to the Masters group of top finishers of men and women aged 40 and over. The remaining $7,000.00 will go to athletes competing in the Top End/PVA EuroAmerican Handcycling Championships. Concerts will be held after the races each day.
