Madison Wisconsin New Home Community Ground Breaking Announced for The Community of Bishops Bay

The Community of Bishops Bay, a master planned new home community in Madison Wisconsin, has announced its ground breaking on its first new home neighborhood, The Back Nine, this month.  Interest has been robust in anticipation of this event at The Community of Bishops Bay, a 787-acre master-planned development located in the City of Middleton and Town of Westport.  The initial release features: 37 single-family new home sites that overlook the rolling greens of the Country Nine at Bishops Bay Country Club, exclusive Golf Villas--detached homes that come with the benefit of an association to take care of exterior maintenance--and multi-family new home options.  Pricing for this array of Madison  Wisconsin new homes  is expected to range from the upper $200s to over $1 million. 

The official ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for August 21st at 11 AM on the new home construction site.  New home construction will begin with Bishops Bay Parkway, the first entrance to the community along County Highway Q in Middleton and the main arterial road into the community.  The parkway will eventually traverse the community, connecting with County Highway M.  Construction of the first phase infrastructure is anticipated to be completed in late 2012 or early 2013, with the community’s first residents moving in mid next year.

Simon Design Build, Liebl Building & Design, TimberLane Builders and Michael F. Simon Builders.  A limited number of new home sites are available directly from The Community of Bishops Bay LLC. 

The Community of Bishops Bay is located in the prestigious Waunakee Community School District and the community plan has reserved a 20-acre parcel along the northern boundary of the new home community for a school site. 

The Community of Bishops Bay is located off the northwest shores of Lake Mendota within the City of Middleton and the Town of Westport.  Community residents will enjoy easy access to various attractions across Dane County.  Most major Madison area employment centers, the UW-Madison campus and downtown Madison are located less than a 20-minute drive.  For those who enjoy the trail more than the roadway, the master-planned community will include over 10-miles of trails that will connect into the nearby regional trail system.

T. Wall Properties is the master developer of the community.  The SWA Group and Vierbicher Associates served as the master planner.  Speedway Sand and Gravel was awarded the construction contract for the roads and utilities.
