EMS Proud To Support Cheshire Young Carers

EMS are proud to announce their latest corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative – a commitment to supporting the local charity Cheshire Young Carers, which has been providing high quality support for young carers since 1997.

CEO at Event marketing Solutions Keith Austin said of this initiative ‘We’ve continued to be huge advocates of corporate social responsibility (CSR). As well as recognising the business benefits that it brings in terms of strengthening our offering to customers and building a positive place to work. We also enjoy the fun factor as well as having the opportunity to be a positive part of the community. ‘

Cheshire Young Carers work with young carers and their families ensuring that they are listened to, to make sure they are getting the help they need and are provided with specialist support and advice, as well as organising fun trips like going to the beach and ice skating sessions.

Providing high quality support for young carers since 1997, the CYC has supported over 550 young carers and their families, providing weekly health and well-being groups including self-esteem and confidence building as well as a myriad of beneficial and innovative services, all in aid of better meeting individual needs.

Event Marketing Solutions are pleased to confirm an initial donation that will see the costs to support one carer for one year covered by EMS, with many fundraising events being planned to support this very worthy cause. Something Keith Austin is excited about. ‘This new commitment is part of our on-going activity to provide funding to worthwhile causes such as donating money and organising employee fundraising events and activities such as sponsored runs.’

The commitment to CSR initiatives doesn’t stop there. EMS has been making a difference with environmental issues with an on-going commitment to offsetting all client CO2 emissions. This pledge to CSR includes EMS’ involvement with Cheshire Wildlife Trust in a project that will see the lake opposite EMS offices turned into a wildlife spot that can be enjoyed by the whole community.
