Major Asian Broadcaster places new order with Net Insight

August 30, 2006 - Stockholm, Sweden – a major Asian Broadcaster has placed a new order with Net Insight to expand the existing network. The equipment, which will be used to increase the capacity of the network that distributes digital TV signals between two countries, will be delivered during this quarter and is planned to be operational in the fourth quarter of this year.

The network based upon the Nimbra platform carries compressed TV signals via ASI interfaces together with IP/Ethernet for data transport. The solution allows for an exact allocation of bandwidth giving a very high efficiency and utilization of the network, thereby decreasing the operational cost.
