Amphibious vehicle manufacturers Ultimate Technology, based in Malta and manufacturers of the Amphicoach have announced that their latest model GS-1 is to start operating in Japanese waters this year after meeting the Japanese standards required for such a vehicle, which are considered to be the most stringent in the world.

The Amphicoach is a passenger coach and passenger vessel all in one vehicle, with its structure made entirely from stainless steel or aluminium depending on the purpose of use and a vast range of engine and propulsion choices are available to meet Individual customers requirements.

The vehicles can easily operate day and night in both fresh and salt water, whilst allowing for a level of quality, finish and ease of servicing that is comparable to leading coach and passenger vessel manufacturers with similar capacity across the globe. This particular vehicle will take up to 50 tourists per voyage on a unique tour of Lake Biwa in Japan, northeast of the former capital city Kyoto from both land and water.
