History of Maryland Unveiled in New Historical Fiction Book

In October of 2015, Bill Hart self-published Lord Baltimore’s Dream, the first book of his Maryland series. Through the book, he informs readers about what went down in the history of Maryland, through the eyes of the Kerr family.

The Kerr family is a set of fictional characters who get to live and experience the significant events in Maryland’s history. The story is told in seven eventful chapters.

Maryland has been known to be the birthplace of the American religious freedom, which is why its history must be tackled not only by its residents but by every living American.

In the book, Hart says, “The story of Maryland, why it was founded, who it was founded for, how and why settlers came to Maryland, is told through the story of the Kerr family, a fictitious family that lived through and participated in all the events of Maryland’s history.”

Hart was able to publish his first book with the help of LitFire, a self-publishing house based in Georgia that also offers a wide range of marketing services for independent authors. The second installment of the Maryland series is soon to be released.

About the Author

Bill Hart has lived his entire life in and around Baltimore, Maryland. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and his MBA from the University of Baltimore. After a thirty-seven-year career at McCormick and Company as VP of Global Information Technology, he became an entrepreneur owning several internet-based businesses as well as a securities trader. He decided to write a book about the history of Maryland and the impact both Maryland and Baltimore made in the development of the United States.
