Utmost: The Quest of Two Global Humanitarian Physicians to Give Their Utmost to the World is a collection of reflective stories by Dr. Ashis Brahma and Dr. Elizabeth Garcia-Janis. The stories are woven from their personal experiences of serving impoverished and calamity-struck countries all over the world.
The two doctors share not only the same profession, but also the same pursuit—to alleviate suffering. After their first introduction in 2006, the two began a correspondence that discusses their “quest to live to the utmost with love and compassion for humankind.” They also share their personal struggles and core values that affect their journey.
Both of them are empowered by a mission to help without any expectations. Their shared goals have allowed them to be brave enough for other people and “embrace all the love and kindness in the world,” Alex Molina, an Amazon reviewer, says.
The book was exhibited at LitFire’s booth during the London Book Fair last April 12–14, 2016. The event was held at Olympia in West London. This book is available in all major online retailers.
