Welch’s style of juxtaposing the past and the present keeps propelling the plot forward. Each chapter brings readers to a new geographical location, keeping the story fresh, while flashbacks unveil more of Madhva’s character and the ongoing battle the heroes are fighting. The author’s narrative technique sustains the suspense and the intrigue in the mystery right until the very end.

James Clayton Welch is the published author of several technical books and three works of fiction. His professional background includes some years as a commander of covert military operations and positions as assistant secretary of defense for space systems, director of astrophysics at NASA Headquarters, and director of the Space Station program.
