Teacher of “The Law” Mike M. Joseph: “Belief in the Afterlife Fosters Conflict in the Middle East”

Mike M. Joseph published “Sorry! There is No Afterlife! None Goes to Heaven or Hell!” (AuthorHouse, 2008), wherein he disproves the doctrine of the afterlife of the three Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
 
After disproving the Jewish and Christian concepts about the afterlife by quoting the Bible, Joseph turns to Islam, which concepts he links to the Arab Muslims’ obsession with martyrdom, wholly inspired by their belief in the life after death.
 
The author observes that the situation in the Middle East, particularly the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, is marked by too much violence worsened in part by the undying desire of the Palestinians to avenge their dead through martyrdom, by killing the hated “Zionists”.
 
Since the conflict is intense in and around Jerusalem and is connected to the political sensitivities surrounding the Temple Mount, the author strives to find a connection by citing the Qur’an, the teachings of Muhammad, and the Muslims’ own history.
 
Why did Muslims revere Jerusalem, which was no longer a holy place for Islam when Muhammad changed the direction of prayer towards “holy city” of Mecca?

About the Author
 
Mike M. Joseph was born in 1944 to an Orthodox Jewish family in British colony in Aden, Yemen.  His family immigrated to Israel in 1949 after the pogrom against the Jews by the Arabs.  Later the author lived in Paris, France and then moved to New York.  After 5 years a change of heart led the author to follow a group who believed in both Old and New Testament and relocated to California.  After graduating from college with a B.A. in Theology he joined the ministry and wrote many articles and 5 books.
