Award-Winning Poet Writes Poetry to Fight Depression
Encouraging words from the winner of Poet of Merit award
A multi-awardee and lover of books, Gina Barker writes about nature and life. Her book, A Chink in Time, is a tonic for downed hearts.
Gina Barker believes there is always a way out to every bad situation. Her poems reflect the time of her depression and desperation, to the time an angel fueled her divine inspiration to do what she loves—write. Of this memory, she says, “[It] is still very much with me, but more importantly, so is my gift, the gift of words that my dear friend seemed to leave with me after that night.” Since then, her poems have taken her to places and touched many lives.
She hopes her books will leave the same effect to the reader—to help them find the light in the darkness. She incorporates the beauty of nature to help put the mind in the right perspective.
A Chink in Time is a collection of lessons to help oneself. The author and book were featured in an America Tonight radio interview. Check the book out in selected online bookstores.
