Destination well-being with Air France

WEBWIRE

To celebrate the art of travel, the company ensures its customers’ well-being at all times. Before, during and after the flight, Air France provides all its customers with carefully selected products and services.

Breathe in, meditate and take off

On long-haul flights, Air France offers its customers the opportunity to discover the benefits of meditation with programmes on the Mind app.
Travellers of all ages can enjoy guided meditation sessions in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese in the new “meditation” section on the individual screens on Air France flights:
•        Six for children, taken from Eline Snel’s book Sitting still like a frog published by Les Arènes, including the session “The flying frog” and “Attention starts with the breath”.
•        Six for adults taken from Christophe André’s best-seller Mindfulness day after day published by L’Iconoclaste, including the session ‘Mind travel” and “Achieving inner calm and peace”.
Each programme, made up of an audio recording and a corresponding video, offers travellers world exclusive content to familiarize themselves with the concept of mindfulness and to feel in harmony with the special environment of an aircraft cabin. What simpler way to reconnect with oneself than simply sitting and closing one’s eyes.
After more than 1.5 million meditation sessions since the launch of the programme in June 2017, the company now wants to extend this experience and in June 2018 intends to offer meditation sessions on the Air France Play app for smartphone and tablet, which is freely available on the App Store and Google Play. This app offers a wide choice of newspapers, magazines, videos and music and will soon enable customers to enjoy meditation sessions 30 hours before flight departure so they can meditate before their trip.

A well-being interlude before departure

Air France offers its customers travelling in La Première and Business as well as Flying Blue Elite Plus cardholders access to more than 500 Air France and SkyTeam lounges worldwide for a real moment of pleasure and relaxation.
At Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Air France has an exclusive lounge dedicated to its La Première customers. Designed by the architect Didier Lefort, it offers passengers more than 1,000 sq. m. of space to eat or relax with its bar and Biologique Recherche Spa.
For its Business customers, Air France is also reinventing its lounge in hall L. For the first time, an Air France lounge is devoting more than 550 sq. m. entirely to well-being. In a refined setting, everything has been designed to immerse the customer in a cocoon where time seems to stand still. The well-being area provides customers with:
•        An “Instant Relaxation” area to relax comfortably on loungers or in mini-suites for optimal rest;
•        A detox bar to relax, with a selection of fine teas;
•        An area dedicated to facial treatments with two private cabins where customers can benefit from the expertise of Clarins beauticians;
•        Two private saunas to freshen up between flights;
•        Large luxury showers.
The 3,200 sq. m. lounge will open in two stages. A first part of 2,180 sq. m. was unveiled on 25 January and a second will be revealed in July 2018, where new areas will be inaugurated.
