Jacqueline Towell and Sharon Legge Help Spark Renewed Interest in the Greek Mythology With Science Fiction Novel

Jacqueline Towell and Sharon Legge published “The Convergence Series: Deliverance” (BookBaby, 2017), their first book in a planned series of science fiction and fantasy novels. The book combines the tropes and elements of young romance, magic, fantasy, and adventure, as it refers to Greek mythology.

The title of the book series refers to a planetary occurrence called “The Convergence.” The Convergence is a time of apocalyptic proportions where two opposing planetary systems would converge into one as they pass through each other. In “Deliverance,” the gods think the cataclysmic event will serve as the right time for a rebirth.

The story centers around Athena, who is trapped in a prison realm for the last thirty years, and Hephaestus, an incredibly handsome stranger who rescues her and, at the order of Zeus, helps her adapt to Olympian Society. He discovers they share a unique psychic connection which opens up new possibilities on both their horizons. Athena, on the other hand, discovers her gift of prophecy – and foresees a chaotic future.

“The Convergence Series: Deliverance” should whet readers’ appetite for Greek mythology. To introduce readers into The Convergence universe, the authors include three maps (the Solar System, the world, and the islands of Atlantis). To acquaint readers with the Greek mythological figures, the authors outline the family trees of the Greek deities and their royal descendants. Jacqueline Towell was born in Venice Beach, California in 1985, then after a couple years she was relocated to rural Indiana until she was twelve years old. Surrounded by this seasonal beauty is where she learned the magic and mysteries of the cycle of life and developed aspirations of being a writer early on in her youth. All of these early life experiences lends its inspiration to her current endeavors in the world of Science Fiction.
