Nationally Acclaimed Carrier, Navajo Express, Purchases the First W990 Sold in the State of Colorado

On February 22, 2019, MHC Kenworth Denver, presented the first Kenworth W990 sold in the state of Colorado to local carrier, Navajo Express (Navajo). Navajo President, Don Digby Jr., and Professional Driver, Charles “Charlie” Hamilton, were both in attendance for the unveiling where Hamilton was handed the keys to his new truck.

“We could not be more thrilled for Charlie. During his 20 years with Navajo, he has not only proven himself as an outstanding driver, but a positive and humble human,” states Digby. “I can’t think of a more deserving driver to receive this topnotch truck,” he added.

In his 36 years of driving, Hamilton has accomplished five million miles with zero preventable accidents. He has also been recognized with numerous safety awards, the most recent being a Driver of the Month for the Colorado Motor Carrier Association.

Navajo and MHC have demonstrated a positive partnership as a majority of Navajo’s 1000 truck fleet is comprised of Kenworth models. Josh Schwartz, Vice President & General Manager of MHC Kenworth Denver, presented Hamilton with the keys saying, “Today is a monumental day, with the first W990 being sold in the state of Colorado. I want to thank MHC and Navajo for all the efforts that made this possible. It is truly an honor to know our product is going to be driven by someone as first-class as Charlie.”

Kenworth celebrated the launch of the W990 last September with an event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. As the latest edition to the W900 series, the W990 brings a traditional design to an innovation-focused industry.
