Resolution Games Scores Long-Time Business Management Veteran Patrik Dreber

Resolution Games - the studio behind Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs, popular virtual reality (VR) fishing game, Bait!, and other hit titles - today announced the addition of Patrik Dreber as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Dreber brings more than 20 years of executive and entrepreneurial experience to the leadership team and will play a key role in driving the studio’s business strategy and growth.

As a seasoned business leader and entrepreneur, Dreber has launched, sold and reengineered businesses and is known for his ability to focus on the big picture. Most recently, Patrik was head of processes, analytics and support at ICA Sweden, the country’s leading grocery retailer and largest wholesale business, where he led a team focused on internal management processes. Prior to that, he was a management consultant at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), focused mostly on small and medium sized corporations as well as government entities to reengineer business models and improve efficiencies. He was also an owner, director and country CEO of specialized recruitment company, Contaplus (now Careerplus). As CEO of the Italian branch for three years, Patrik conducted a “turn-around project” and later acquired the Swedish business, which he later sold. Patrik holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Stockholm, as well as a Maîtrise de Sciences Economiques from the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne.

In addition, the company has experienced continued momentum since the close of its $7.5 million Series B round of funding in October 2018. The company has expanded to 53 employees, moved into new office space in central Stockholm and now has eight different game titles in the market, spanning all major platforms across both VR and AR. Keeping pace with its track record of innovation and delivery of industry-first immersive experiences, the studio has several new titles under development, including the anticipated launch of cross platform, multiplayer party game, ACRON, later this summer.
