Author Frank Tropea Released an Enthralling Page-turner
Frank wrote the story with a different kind of twist in every page.
If her mother were still alive somewhere and came back, she’d fight her for this handsome, godlike man.
Frank Tropea released an exciting fantasy titled “Go Ask the Dead.” The story revolved around a teenage girl named Amanda Mannon or Mandy, for short.
She grew up with her nonchalant mother, Aurelia, though the person who really took care of her was Delia, a black cook and general maid. Aurelia didn’t care so much about Mandy emotionally, so Mandy got so close with Delia. One day, Aurelia disappeared and never returned.
Several months later, Mandy’s stepfather Ted Basker began to regard Mandy carnally. But Ted’s strong sex appeal made Mandy weak on her knees and gave in to Ted’s seduction. Right after they committed a scandalous lovemaking, Ted dozed off and a ghost named Lily turned up before Mandy. Lily was about to reveal Mandy a startling truth.
Lily guided Mandy to a cellar and asked her to dig at a corner covered with loose dirt. Mandy dug and uncovered some bones. With the skeletal hand still intact, Mandy instantly recognized the wedding ring on its finger. It was the ring Ted gave to Aurelia on their wedding day. A few moments later, Ted came down to the cellar and caught Mandy. He admitted that he murdered Aurelia not because of her shameful extramarital affairs but he wanted her property and wealth. Mandy was sickened of this revelation but Ted overpowered her. To her defense, Mandy shot Ted in the head and Ted died.
Three months had passed after that horrendous encounter and Aurelia’s lawyer, Anthony Gray, arranged for a guardian for Mandy, her great-aunt Lavinia Mannon. Soon enough, Mandy moved in to Lavinia’s mansion and had to obey strict rules. Lavinia commanded Mandy to renounce her contact with the dead but that rule would be put to the test. One night, a handsome ghost named William fondled Mandy in her room. Lavinia heard Mandy moaning and then opened her room, but what happened after that couldn’t be more horrifying!
Will Mandy fight against her great-aunt and follow her mother’s immorality? Or will she succumb to Lavinia’s castigation? More will be revealed as you follow Frank Tropea to the 26th Beijing International Book Fair. Head on to China International Exhibition Center on August 21-25, 2019 and witness this grand gathering of authors from around the world.
