CyberLink Digital Home Enabler Kit Offers an Easy Solution for Sharing Media Files Across a Home Network
Taipei, Taiwan----Jan. 3rd, 2007----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader in digital home solutions, today released an easy means of sharing media files across a home network, with the Digital Home Enabler Kit featuring CyberLink Media Server and two licenses for CyberLink SoftDMA.
CyberLink Media Server opens access to video, photo, and music folders on a PC, while CyberLink SoftDMA detects media servers connected to the home network and acts as a player of shared media files. This allows users to install Media Server on one PC containing all their music, photo, and video files, and then access them from another computer using SoftDMA.
“CyberLink’s Digital Enabler Kit is an incredibly easy way to share files across a home network,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. “By offering CyberLink Media Server and two licenses of SoftDMA in the one kit, users can share files and have them played throughout the digital home in minutes.”
CyberLink Media Server and SoftDMA are UPnP-certified, and comply with the Digital Living Network Alliance-defined specifications for home networking, ensuring that DLNA-certified devices can be recognized by the software if connected to the same network.
More information about the Digital Home Enabler Kit, CyberLink Media Server, and CyberLink SoftDMA is available in the Press Room.
