Annual List Released That Includes Top 50 U.S. Cities with the Most Bed Bug Infestation Treatments

Recently, one of the nation’s largest commercial and residential pest control companies released its annual list of top 50 cities in the United States where the most bed bug treatments were performed at. Chicago moved up two spots from last year’s list, to rank first. The cities that follow close behind are Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Detroit, and Columbus, OH.

Bed bugs are small, flat, parasitic insects that feed on the blood of people and animals, usually while they sleep. They are experts at hiding, which can make them difficult to find. The presence of bed bugs can be an ongoing annoyance because they often cause itching and loss of sleep for people living, working in, or visiting an infested property. Some people may also suffer allergic reactions caused by their presence.
