Author Harry Giles Shares Groundbreaking Approach to Education That Both Addresses the Emotional Needs of Students and Boosts Their IQ Levels
A Canadian lawyer-headmaster imparts his experiences and insight to “nurturing giftedness to genius” among students.
“‘Nurturing Giftedness to Genius’ gives school leaders a new blueprint for education that harnesses research to get results.” Melissa Wuske, Foreword Reviews
Harry Giles’ idea of education is one that produces better results and emphasizes not just math and science but also the arts and world languages, as they all are crucial in the development of the brain. Unfortunately, the standard curriculum is not appropriate for achieving better educational results. He shares his experiences, observations, and recommendations in his book “Nurturing Giftedness to Genius: How to Increase Your Intelligence” (Xlibris; 2016).
The book “Nurturing Giftedness to Genius” introduces to educators, parents, and all other stakeholders and decision-makers in education Giles’ blueprint for increasing “the operating intelligence of children from twenty-five to sixty-five IQ points.”
“Nurturing Giftedness to Genius” reviews the author’s experience as headmaster of the first bilingual school in Canada. The school is known to be the top Francophone school in Canada and the top academic school in the world, measured by its successes in international competitions, such as the International Chemistry & Physics Olympiad and the Annual Putnam Mathematics Competition.
Giles, who taught at university level, knew nothing about the primary and secondary school curricula, so he had to choose the texts, teachers, curriculum, and examination systems. He also had to visit the top 14 countries in the world and the best schools in them to become informed as to resources for both teachers and students. He looked at what was being done and found huge flaws.
“The Ontario texts and students were incapable of teaching French because the required texts in French were full of mistakes in grammar and spelling,” said Giles, who found that educational systems in both English and French were essentially incompetent.
Giles, who has an IQ of 195, has read on a multiplicity of subjects and areas; on one occasion, he read how two American doctors had discovered how to treat children’s eye cataracts. “As I read their material, I drew an inference which led to learning how to jump every child’s IQ from ages 3-7 by 25 points, after changing the curriculum to approaches used by Stern, Cuisenaire, Montessori Hull, and Dienes, and changing stupid memory work for thinking work. That required finding people all over the world and bringing them to Toronto to teach my teachers.
“I did not hire Canadian teachers with one or two exceptions. I wanted highly educated, highly cultured, people who loved children and demonstrated it.”
The author extolled the success of his approach to education, “The children were playing games, which developed their thinking skills, and were having so much fun that they did not run out of school when their parents came to pick them up. Many did not want to leave because they were having such fun and learning so much, and often cried when they had to go.”
Harry Giles’ “Nurturing Giftedness to Genius” will change the way education is structured and delivered. Available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Author Bio
Harry Giles discovered by being bored how to raise his intelligence to thirty-three points above Einstein. He was a lawyer/economist/psychologist who ran the leading academic schools in the West and, probably, in the world. He designed school curricula and developed methods to increase the operating intelligence of children from twenty-five to sixty-five IQ points.
He founded the first bilingual school in Canada. He started early academic intervention in every aspect of the curriculum. He, being an economist, was offered the posts of deputy minister of finance in Kuwait for life and executive director of the Saudi economy at a huge salary, but he declined due to the role of the Wahhabi. Being an apartment owner in Spain led him to become aware of the role played by the Muslim Umayyads, and he even wrote a book about it.
Being an outstanding appellate counsel, he was asked by the chief justice of the High Court to give up education, which would lead him to be appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada by the time he was forty and Chief Justice of Canada before he died. He replied that education was more important. He is active in classical music, art, and drama, and tries to put beauty into every aspect of the school curricula and make school exciting and fun. He also lectured at the university level.
