HoneyBook Named One of the Best Workplaces in 2021 by Both Inc. and Fortune
HoneyBook has been recognized for creating a values-driven culture that prioritizes employee well-being.
HoneyBook, the leading client experience and financial management platform for independent businesses, has been honored by both Inc. Best Workplaces and Fortune Best Small & Medium Workplaces as one of the best places to work in the country. This prestigious recognition by both publications is a testament to HoneyBook’s commitment to building a company culture that puts people first.
Earning a spot on either list is the result of a comprehensive assessment of each company’s culture, including management effectiveness and employee equity and engagement. Analysis for Inc. is conducted by Quantum Workplaces and includes an extensive audit of employee benefits. Fortune partners with Great Place to Work to assess how fairly employees are being treated derived from a confidential work trust survey.
HoneyBook is 17 on Fortune’s list of 100 small workplaces and was selected as one of 429 leading companies to be recognized by Inc. This is the third time HoneyBook has been recognized as a Great Place to Work-Certified company.
“I’m privileged to work alongside so many dedicated individuals who’ve committed their talents to our mission of supporting independent business owners,” says Oz Alon, CEO and co-founder of HoneyBook. “I’m proud of the company we’re building together and honored to be recognized as a great workplace by both Inc. and Fortune. We’re proud to be championing a company culture that supports and engages all employees.”
HoneyBook believes that it takes innovation and creativity to solve big problems and that fostering a positive work environment sparks the best ideas. The company is dedicated to creating an inclusive culture that connects employees to one another, the company’s mission and work in service of that mission that each person finds meaningful. HoneyBook practices a “people come first” approach to management, which empowers leaders to act in the best interest of their team and create the conditions that allow employees to thrive.
“These companies may be small in size, but their impact and commitment to improving employee experience stacks up against some of the world’s largest corporations,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work®. “Their ability to scale business while maintaining a high level of employee care is nothing short of amazing. A job well done to the Best Small & Medium Workplaces.”
Though the pandemic challenged the HoneyBook team in many ways, it also provided opportunities for innovation and growth. Recently, HoneyBook announced a $155M Series D to advance product development and expand internal resources including hiring. Already used to working across two offices in San Francisco and Tel Aviv, the HoneyBook team was well equipped with the tools to maintain a sense of togetherness despite the unusual circumstances. Today the company’s “one office” culture remains strong and collaboration is at an all-time high.
“The definition of a positive workplace has changed drastically over the past year,” says Inc. Magazine editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “Stocked fridges and nap pods were no longer perks many companies could rely on once work went remote. So, this year’s list is even more important as it reveals organizations that continue to enrich the lives of its employees amid a pandemic.”
