Doxel Taps Construction Technology Leader to Supercharge Growth As New Head of Product
Senescu to lead the development of Doxel’s breakthrough AI-Powered Project Controls solution for the construction industry
Doxel, developer of the first computer-vision-powered predictive analytics solution for the construction industry, today announced the hiring of accomplished product development executive, Reid Senescu as the new Head of Product.
“Senescu joins the Doxel team during a period of dynamic growth, with significant demand from the global construction industry,” said Saurabh Ladha, co-founder and CEO, Doxel. “He has industry-leading experience in construction and the ability to accelerate our product deployment in a manner that anticipates our clients’ needs. The addition of Reid to our executive team reinforces our commitment to innovation that drives real value, saving our clients tens of millions of dollars as we help keep their major projects on time and on budget.”
Senescu joins Doxel after leading software product development at industry leaders, including Enlighted (acquired by Siemens), Graebert GmbH, and Rhumbix. Before his software career, Senescu performed structural design and construction administration for numerous complex projects at Arup. Senescu earned his Ph.D. in Sustainable Design and Construction at Stanford University by collaborating with general contractors on his research. Senescu also studied construction management and structural engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
”The global construction industry delivers the infrastructure for our entire economy. Yet, too frequently, our projects are late and over budget. Doxel tracks progress automatically across all visible trades, forecasts planned completion and highlights schedule-impacting quality deviations, so project teams can spend more time building and less time tracking,” said Senescu. “I’m excited to join Doxel because of our deep combination of construction and AI expertise. Together with our customers, we are accelerating our mission to help the construction industry deliver projects on time and on budget.”
Bringing on Senescu as Head of Product for the company comes on the heels of the recent announcement last month that Doxel closed its $40 million Series B financing, bringing its total funding to $56.5 million. The investment, led by New York-based global private equity and venture capital firm Insight Partners, with participation from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz and Amplo, allows Doxel to scale its artificial intelligence platform and rapidly accelerate recruiting across its engineering, sales, marketing & product teams.
