In the Relaunch of Her Book, “Facets,” Patricia Boardman Explores Life in Every Perspective Through Her Poems
Poetry has always been an instrument for expressing freedom and creativity. It gives poets the ability to spill their thoughts and feelings on paper. Through words, emotions, and aesthetics, poems have the ability to take a reader into transcendental realms and a state of contemplation. It has the power to completely engage a person’s mind and spirit while also enabling his or her imagination to roam freely. Boardman is treading this artistic path, and she welcomes us to her heart and mind through her book, “Facets.”
Boardman has always had an affinity with art, music, travel, reading, and poetry. Now, she has presented to us an anthology that explores life’s sorrows and joys.
For anybody who likes poetry, “Facets” is a great way to spend a relaxing evening. The themes and styles covered in this anthology are diverse. It’s a compilation of some of life’s most memorable experiences. The thrill of a roller coaster ride, the birth of a baby, and the careful nurturing of a doting grandma are just a few of the elements that make up this novel. The book’s pages address a wide range of topics including family, joy, pain, truth, and admiring life’s beauty, but the intrinsic nature of people is the main subject of this book. Boardman also brings the readers closer to home by talking about events that can happen to anyone on any given day.
"There is a poem in this book for every reader--a poem that will touch the heart, evoking the response, ‘Yes, it’s just like that,’ Boardman writes.
