New Balance welcomes Multi-Hyphenate star Storm Reid as brand ambassador

Today, New Balance announced that Storm Reid, the multi-talented actress and producer, will join the brand as its newest ambassador. In joining New Balance, Storm aims to inspire young women to be confident in who they are – even if they’re still figuring it out. She will harness her love of style and design to help bring lifestyle product and campaigns to life in a way that builds towards equity within the sneaker world and continues to pave pathways for women in the industry.

Best known for her roles in the film A Wrinkle in Time, HBO series Euphoria, and DC’s The Suicide Squad, Storm is also a humanitarian and college freshman who recently began her study of Drama and African American Studies at the University of Southern California. But perhaps most notably, she uses every opportunity she gets to empower other young women to take up space and claim their moment.

Launching on Wednesday, October 27th, Storm’s first piece of content with New Balance will be a video that captures the multi-faceted journey of an icon in-the-making, highlighting Storm’s embodiment of NB’s We Got Now campaign as she carves her own path, on her own timeline. The video offers a look into the opportunities Storm navigates as a humanitarian, student, actress, and now fashion darling. Over the next few years, Storm and New Balance will work together on initiatives that help provide growth opportunities for young women, as well as product creation and marketing campaigns.

Additionally, the creative will be featured on OOH billboards in the Los Angeles area, including The Grove and Beverly Center, proclaiming, “Storm Wears New Balance.”
