In the Relaunch of his Book, “Thicket of Thought,” Peter Freis Examines the Injustice of an Inadequate Justice System

Lady Justice is an allegorical personification of judicial systems’ moral influence. To symbolize her fairness and equality, she wears a blindfold. No one, no position, no social prestige, and no viewpoint should affect her judgment. She must maintain her fairness and prudence. Outside circumstances and ineptitude, on the other hand, can persuade her and tilt the scales against an innocent guy. Many men and women suffer and lose significant years of their life as a result of false convictions in a broken judicial system. Such is the narrative that Peter Freis draws us into.

Freis examines the inefficiency of the country’s legal system in his book “Thicket of Thought: Speculation.” He’ll take us through Christopher and his family’s failed battle to free a man who was imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit. Freis has depicted the difficulties faced by persons battling for their independence in the face of prejudice. He did an excellent job of narrating the disparities in Chris’s life before and after jail, which dramatically enhanced the book’s message. Despite the intense emotion and the sad narrative of a good person whose life was taken from him by injustice, Freis sends a powerful message: dishonesty can never destroy a family’s love.

Indeed, the book will elicit responses and dispel the stigma that we associate with those who are incarcerated. We should be more considerate. Some deserve to be there while others are just there because the scales of justice were tipped in the wrong direction.
