“Why Did God Save Me” by Simone Duplessis will be featured at the LA Times Festival in Spring 2022

Simone Duplessis, author of “Why Did God Save Me” (Xulon Press, 2020), will be featured at the LA Times Festival of Books in Spring 2022. This book tells the story of the author’s experience of how she stayed grounded in her faith in God despite the adversities that she had faced. The story begins with her shared thoughts on the question why an all knowing, all loving, and all powerful God would allow this manner of suffering to come upon his people.

She talks about how one of the following evils which are done by humanity and natural disasters; Hurricane, Flood, 911 Attack, Tsunami, Wildfire, Earthquake, Tornado, Blizzard, Snow Storm, Cold/Heat wave, Volcano, Drought, Chronic illnesses, Sarcoma/Cancer, Pestilences, Plaques and last Coronavirus Covid-19, and end up “…wondering why he saved you? And that he has a reason and a plan for you,” Duplessis explained.

The book tells the story of why it took Covid-19 to stop the world from turning, trains from running on their tracks, planes from flying in the air, travelers from traveling, and ships at sea. Here, she expresses his concern about how employed people became unemployed overnight, where CNN reported that approximately 3.3 million people had applied for unemployment, and at this time, other states were unaware of the rapid growth with unemployment, not knowing it was only a couple more days, and the high unemployment rate would be in each state of the US along with the Covid-19 virus.

“Why Did God Save Me” is an inspirational masterpiece that is relevant to today’s common problems, particularly the pandemic that has had such an impact on people’s lives that they have become aware of their country’s internal and external problems. With this, she hopes that people will realize that some things are beyond their control, that they happen for a reason, and that it is a God-given opportunity to make the best out of the situation.
