TRIPP Acquires Largest VR Meditation Community EvolVR

TRIPP, the fastest-growing XR wellness platform, today acquired EvolVR, the world’s first and largest VR live meditation community with over 40,000 participants. As a Unitarian Universalist minister and meditation instructor for over two decades, Rev. Jeremy Nickel founded EvolVR to make meditative practices accessible to everyone – regardless of one’s background, beliefs or geographic location. Rev. Nickel will join the TRIPP team as the Vice President of Community and Live Events. Together, the companies will build a safe environment for people to connect and collectively support each other’s emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. 

With over 3.5 million wellness sessions served, TRIPP combines meditation techniques, flow-inducing gameplay, binaural audio and breathing exercises to inspire wonder while transforming how users feel. Through acquiring EvolVR, TRIPP will now include live meditation sessions and offer a variety of events for people to gather and practice mindfulness together. EvolVR currently offers 21 live, free public meditation sessions a week guiding them towards a more mindful existence through connection to self and others. Unlike other communal virtual reality experiences that aren’t regulated, each EvolVR session is moderated to maintain a safe space for all participants.

EvolVR marks TRIPP’s second acquisition, following the acquisition of PsyAssist in Q3 2021. The news comes as the company is ramping up its efforts to develop transplatform experiences, launching its first augmented reality offering on Nreal’s mixed-reality glasses and partnering with Niantic to leverage its Lightship platform to develop further augmented reality experiences. EvolVR will become an integral part of TRIPP’s immersive wellness sessions available across mobile, Oculus, VIVE Flow, and PlayStation VR, and now in AR on Nreal, giving users the flexibility to tap into the global mindfulness community wherever they are.
