“Visions and Dreams” by Ken Powe Will Be Displayed at the LA Times Festival of Books 2022
Ken Powe explores the deepest mysteries of all human experience: visions and dreams real.
The book results in an anthropological road map on the journey to contemplating one of the deepest mysteries of all human experience: are visions and dreams real, or just us?
“Vision and Dreams: Are They Communication from God, or Just Us?” by Ken Powe will be featured at the LA Times Festival of Books on April 23-24, 2022, at the University of Southern California campus, Los Angeles, CA. The definition of a vision is a set of ideas that one has or realistic images of people and objects in the mind without physical substance. The questions about dreams are something like these: What is the Bible’s opinion on them? What does the Bible say about what one should believe? These are the questions that this book attempts to answer. Even though there is little or no debate over visions and dreams in the Bible, there have been contradictory and evolving perspectives about them for millennia. When someone today claims to have had a supernatural vision or dream, though, it’s still a tough, sensitive, and divided matter.
“Vision and Dreams: Are They Communication from God, or Just Us?” By Ken Powe analyzes the nature of dreams and visions, as well as the scriptural interpretations that accompany them, across cultures, religions, and time periods. Judeo-Christianity and psychology are also closely compared and contrasted, as dream interpretation is an essential practice in various religious systems as well as modern psychology. “Ken Powe is the next big thing in music and letter.”—Publishers Weekly, January 4, 2021.
