“With that said, I had ideas for some really cool characters and I built off of them. I have characters that I feel people can relate to and want to know more about. You can create cool characters with cool abilities and technology, but if they don’t have personality and something that draws you closer, then all they are is a window dressing.”

Thomas Hraynyk is Canadian-born from Oshawa, Ontario. At forty-three, he is accomplishing a long dream of publishing his first novel. Through many obstacles over the past five years, he has persevered and worked hard to get to this point. After his son was born, his fiancée tragically passed away, leaving him mentally and financially bankrupt. While living on his friend’s sofa, he began the process of starting over, which included asking for help when feeling suicidal. Working through all of that, he found himself wanting to write again and started looking at the story he had started years ago.
