What kind of things would change a soldier’s life forever? A war? An injury? PTSD? How about a mosquito? For Jeffrey A. Daniel – author of the book “Love, Faith, and Prayer” (Xulon Press; 2022) – his life changed in August 2021, when he was bitten by a mosquito that carried the West Nile Virus. As a result, he contracted a serious illness.
“It was just a headache, tender spine, fever,” the author told KFVS-TV, “and then the next thing I knew, I was in the hospital trached, being tube-fed, had a shunt coming out of my brain from cephalitis, and just losing a tremendous amount of weight.
“Within a few days of being in the emergency room, I went from walking myself into the emergency room to being in a coma on a ventilator.”
That should have been it. However, he refused the disease to hold himself back. With his unwavering faith in God, the unconditional love of his wife Evelyn, and the persistent prayers and support of his friends, healthcare professionals, and many other, he made the impossible possible, one step at a time. One milestone of his life was when he published his book: “Love, Faith, and Prayer”.
“I was asked to write this book after sharing my story with several individuals,” Daniel wrote in his book’s dedication. “Every time the story was told, the conclusion was that we needed to share this with everyone. I am attempting to do that here.
“I almost died. It was my God-fearing wife’s unconditional love, unwavering faith, and prayers – along with prayer warriors – that thrust me to achieve physical recovery results, which were unimaginable if merely based on science.”
“Love, Faith, and Prayer” encourages the readers to count on God’s love and help in all of life’s circumstances and appreciate the love and support of loved ones, friends, and concerned individuals. This book will above all empower readers to take small steps to change their circumstances and rise above them to impact others.
