NOBLESVILLE, IN – WEBWIRE

Barnes & Noble is delighted to be reopening its bookstore in Noblesville, moving quite literally next door with a brand-new bookstore in Stony Creek Market Place.  The bookstore opens on Wednesday, August 31.  After proudly serving Noblesville customers for the last two decades from its old location, Barnes & Noble closed in January as the building is to be redeveloped.  This gave the bookseller the opportunity to architect a completely new bookstore, much to the enthusiasm of the Noblesville bookselling team who have been working meanwhile in neighboring Barnes & Noble stores.

The new store is located at 17070 Mercantile Blvd, Noblesville, IN 46060, right next door to the old location in the former Pier 1 space and will officially open to the public at 10:00 am.  New York Times bestselling author of Somebody’s Daughter, Ashley C. Ford, will be conducting the ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome customers to the store and signing copies of her acclaimed memoir.

“We thank our customers for the outpouring of support they expressed when we had to close our Noblesville bookstore,” said Amy Fitzgerald, who heads up bookselling at Barnes & Noble.  “We are very pleased to have kept the period of closure so short and also thank our wonderful booksellers of the Noblesville team who have worked so hard to create this brilliant new bookstore.  It is an exciting space, with such a wide stock and with an impressive roster of local authors for store events already on the calendar.”

The new store will be rejoining the line-up of retailers on Mercantile Blvd near TJ Maxx and Home Goods, replacing the bookstore that closed in January.  Store Manager, Alicia Gebert, and her dedicated team of booksellers, most of whom are returning from the original location, are busy developing the bookstore to best appeal to the book lovers of this community.  There will be a great selection for readers of all kinds from Fiction, History, Religion and Cookbooks to a dedicated space for Young Adults and Kids, as well as Barnes & Noble staples including a shop for new hardcover Fiction and Non-Fiction releases.

“Opening this store has been an extra special experience for me as I began my career with Barnes & Noble in Noblesville and cannot wait to continue connecting with readers in Indianapolis,” said Alicia Gebert.  “My team and I are incredibly excited for the brand-new look and feel of this store.  It will be a whole new experience for the Noblesville community.”

Updates and events for Barnes & Noble Noblesville can be found online and on social media, including on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter by searching the handle @bnnoblesville.  The press is invited to tour the store and attend the ribbon cutting.  For any questions, or to set up an interview with Amy or Alicia, please contact Barnes & Noble at prelations@bn.com.
