Iris Allegra Powell is a talented storyteller. As a writer, she has written compelling poems, plays, and influential books. Iris is also a passionate actress and producer. She started showcasing her talents as a young girl. She actively joined various art programs during high schools, such as musical theater and talent shows.

In 1992, she participated in a writers’ workshop run by the late Mr. Samuel H. Wilson, Jr. She conducted writing sessions at Roland Park Middle School in the same year. Ms. Powell is the creator of “The Popcorn Tree Concept,” a language enrichment program for kids that helps improve functional literacy, imaginative thinking, and communication skills.

Her current goal is to further her efforts, particularly in helping young children discover their gifts and bringing them to a knowledge and love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
