Linda Craighead Showcases a Wonderful Instructional Children’s Story That Will Surely Leave Valuable Lessons
“Training Your Inner Pup to Eat Well” is an educational children’s book story featuring Yip an adorable puppy who loves to eat all the treats he wants, even if they’re not so good for him. This piece was written by a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in eating disorders, “Training Your Inner Pup to Eat Well” uses simple, child-appropriate language and colorful illustrations to help teach your children valuable eating habits that will last a lifetime.
It’s the story of Yip an adorable puppy who is ready to receive training to address his bad eating habits. Most dog owners find that they are quite able to keep their dogs happy with mostly healthy food. But, many of us have a much harder time feeding ourselves (our children) well. In this book, a child must learn to manage his or her desires to eat - a process this book calls “training Your Inner Pup.” In the long run, your child will not be able to rely on you to limit what he or she eats. As a parent’s role, remind your child often that puppies can be very different, in food preferences, impulses, and ways of learning. Also, you can help your child make this training fun, as if your child were, in fact, responsible for caring for and training an adorable puppy with a mind of its own.
The author artistically designed this book as written in such a way that it can be used with a wide age range. This entertaining book with a bunch of lessons is worth sharing with young ones and for all ages.
