“Kihivas” is more than just a book on sailing, this is written for everyone, and its main message is that anything is possible with commitment and endurance. Istvan Kopar wrote “Life is too valuable to waste it and everyone should search for their own ‘Mount Everest’ and prepare for its ‘climbing.’”
In the book, Hungarian native Istvan Kopar records his thrilling adventures, including his insights that led him to fulfill a lifelong dream. The author talks about building his 31-foot yacht, Salammbo, battling the waves brought by the strong winds of the Roaring Forties, to sailing without GPS, autopilot, radar, water-maker, or any heating device. “Kihivas” echoes the strong Hungarian maritime heritage that guided the sailor as he accomplished his greatest undertakings.
