Tickets to the evening performances of the project “Sacred Spring. A Theatre-Laboratory in the Hermitage” can be paid for with a Pushkin Card
From 27 March 2023, it is possible to pay for tickets to the evening shows of the project “Sacred Spring. A Theatre-Laboratory in the Hermitage” with a Pushkin Card.*
The joint project between the Hermitage and the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts begins this coming Thursday. The premiere of the promenade entertainment devised by young theatre directors and writers will take place on 30 March, with subsequent shows in the museum halls of the General Staff building each Thursday evening throughout April and May.
This museum-theatrical experiment is a bold venture, but with every respect for tradition. A series of a dozen individual performances inspired by works in the Sergei Shchukin and Morozov Brothers Memorial Gallery awaits audiences. Each of the studies takes the form of a stream of associations and images evoked in the RSIPA undergraduates and postgraduates by works of Claude Monet, Henri Matisse, Kazimir Malevich, Pierre Soulages, Paul Gauguin and others.
Tickets costing 1,000 roubles can be obtained from tickets.hermitagemuseum.org.
Announcements and news about the project (in Russian) can be found on the website lab.hermitagemuseum.org.

*Participants in the Pushkin Card programme must be citizens of the Russian Federation aged between 14 and 22 inclusive and have obtained a card confirming their participation in the programme.
