Nike is announcing a three-year deal to partner with Liga BBVA MX Femenil to become the league’s exclusive sports partner, reinforcing its commitment to grow women’s football worldwide.

Starting in the Torneo Apertura 2023 season, Nike will help provide Liga BBVA MX Femenil with the necessary tools and resources for female footballers to reach their full potential on and off the field, including technology and product innovation, development programs for the next generations who dream of being football players, and the official match ball to be used in the tournament.

“We are excited about this historic alliance with Nike, a leading brand that is committed to women’s sports,” says Mariana Gutiérrez, Liga BBVA MX Director. “As a league, we are committed to the development and empowerment of all female football players, and doing so with an ally like Nike brings us joy, because we know this is just the beginning of many good things to come for the game.”

Since its founding in 2017, Liga BBVA MX Femenil has grown dramatically. Currently, 921 players participate across its two divisions, which include First Teams and Under-18 teams.
