Catch Pamela KC Hollrah-Asleson’s book display at the 2023 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

The inspiring and religious Christian devotional and poetry book “Poet’s Heart, God’s Gift: Yoked With Christ (Poem-Devotional-Workbook: Knowing the one who pulls beside us, as we bear our burdens)” by Pamela KC Hollrah-Asleson will be exhibited by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. The book festival will take place on April 22-23, 2023, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA.

“Poet’s Heart, God’s Gift: Yoked With Christ” tells about the poet’s struggles with inadequacy and depression that have been transformed into a powerful and moving poem that speaks to the heart of anyone who has faced adversity.

This incredible work of art, written by God through the author’s life experiences and trials, is a testament to the power of faith in Christ and the strength that can be gained through a close relationship with Him. Pam’s struggles are woven throughout the poem, making it a deeply personal and relatable piece of literature.

The inspiration for the poem comes from Hebrews 13:5–6, which encourages people to be content with what they have and trust in the Lord’s promises. The author’s relationship with Christ is evident in the poem, as she describes how God often carries her through life’s challenges.

One of the most striking images in the poem is that of Christ in an oxen yoke, pulling alongside Pamela as she labors through life. This powerful metaphor beautifully captures the author’s firm belief that God will never leave her and that He is always by her side.

This book is a must-read for anyone looking for hope and inspiration. Don’t miss out on this wonderful and inspiring read.

Pam is an RN with 40+ years of experience. As a poet, she has journaled her journey through life. She is an active Toastmaster and speaks on a regular basis in her club, her community, and at speaking events. Her passion is life safety, and she uses this as a platform for speaking.

Being a military brat, the mother of a veteran, and having retired from a federal prison hospital makes her knowledge and experiences especially poignant for service members and their families. She is an appointed support to her local military and is an adjunct to her local beyond the Yellow Ribbon. Pam’s belief in and personal relationship with God is her foundation. Her life verse is Hebrews 13:5; she holds close to Hebrews 13:5-8 and Jeremiah 29:11–13. Her wish is that people may know him, too.
